ABOUT

FMCS works with the home and the church to academically train and spiritually nurture students to become productive citizens in society and impact others for Jesus Christ.

Fort Myers Christian School was established in 1979 by First Assembly of God of Fort Myers. Serving grades K4-8th in a Christian based academic setting, it is our goal that each student be academically and spiritually successful.

We believe this can only be fully attained through a combined effort of the home, school, and church. FMCS is fully accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

FMCS embraces a traditional approach to the elementary and middle school curriculum. Strong emphasis is placed on phonics, critical thinking skills, study habits and a disciplined approach to learning.

Ensuring students are academically and spiritually successful since 1979.

Our Core Values

1. Faith & Love

We believe and teach our students that our foundation is built on Jesus and on God’s spoken word, the bible. John 14:6 states, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” One of the main reasons why parents choose FMCS is because they know the teachers and staff love their children. In turn, our desire is to teach students to love others. John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

2. Integrity

Abraham Lincoln said “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” God is truth and from his Word come absolute truths for us to live and model. It is a blessing to work with young people of great character. 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

3. Excellence

A daily goal for each staff, faculty and student is not to settle for the norm, or the average, but to reach for higher standards and give our best. Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men”

4. Service

Students at FMCS from PK to eighth grade are actively involved with serving others locally and around the world through our Mission 24:40 program. Matthew 23:11, “The greatest among you will be your servant.”
