<p>Here are some of the highlifghts from our school awards ceremonies:</p>
<p>1) The winners of Mr. Mitchell&#8217;s Principal Award (Top Student) &#8211; elementary: Moragn Tyson; and in middle school: Austin Johnson.</p>

<p>Many thanks to Miss Julie Issenmann, our PE teacher, for our special Olympic Field Day 2010! In the week leading up to the field day physical competition, classes were each assigned a country to represent. Pre-Olympic events included:</p>
<ul>
<li>Door decoration- decorate your door in a way that represents your country.</li>
<li>Students speaking your language- hi, by, bathroom –little things</li>
<li>Making a banner that will hang in the gym for a week.   </li>
<li>Taking a virtual field trip</li>
<li>Making a country flag that you can carry around with you during field day</li>
<li>T-shirts representing their country to wear on Friday</li>
<li>Opening and closing ceremonies</li>
</ul>
<p>On Friday, May 7<sup>th</sup>, events included the downhill ski water slide, scooter luge, torch relay, tug-o-war (always an annual favorite) and more!</p>
<p>Thanks to the MANY volunteers and parents for their support during the week! EXCELLENT JOB MISS ISSENMANN!</p>

The ceremony was held Thursday, April 29th in the Colonial Chapel with over 180 students, friends and family in attendance. </p>
<p>The National Elementary Honor Society, Josiah Chapter, is only in its second year and new members are: fourth graders &#8211; Jordan Bergman, Lauren Hearn, Christine Jennings, Molly Krieger, Madison Leatherman, Ethan Liebetre, Malyia Madden, Akmet Moran, Emma Ravish, Emily Reeves, Alyssa Snodgrass, Kendra Stonefield, Kristina Taylor, Austin Thomas, Morgan Tyson; Fifth graders &#8211; Celina Interbartolo , Dillon Martino, Cheyanne Miller, Rebecca Moran, Sierra Niles and Avery Praxaya. Their teacher-sponsor is Mrs. Robin Couch.</p>
<p>The National Junior Honor Society, the Ezra Chapter, inducted the following new members:    Elijah Benzon, Andrew Crouch, Joshua Harriott, Joshua Harvey, Chastity Roark, Sarah Swiersz, Victoria Weller, Tyler Williams, Arianna Bergmann, Remy Fenelus, China Haisley and Josiah Vega. Their teacher-sponsor is Mrs. Jennifer Crouch.</p>
<p>This year, both groups have been active with activities that included raising money for muscular dystrophy, Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Fund,  leadership academy class, sending care packages to soldiers, welcome packets for new students and picking up trash on the campus to do their part in keeping the campus clean.</p>
<p>ANNOUNCED MAY 26, 2010 &#8211; The 2010-11 members of NJHS had the opportunity to submit their names to run for the officers positions for next year. The students have made their speeches and the NJHS members have voted &#8211; here are the winners:</p>

Our chairpersons, Wendy Fulton and Anne Kearns, did a great job. Many thanks to the parent volunteers that came out that day!</p>
<p><strong>SAVE THE DATE: SATURDAY, MAY 14TH, 2011 &#8211; all the proceeds help our financial aide funds at FMCS!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Summary of 2010:</strong> We had 43 golfers that signed-up to join us for a sunny day at the Forest Golf and Country Club.  </em><strong>Recap from 2009:</strong>  May 3rd was a great day for golf, food and fellowship! The end of our three busy days of great events ended today with our annual golf tournament at The Forest Golf Club. We want to thank the 76 golfers that joined us today &#8211; we had an excellent turnout on a beautiful day. Many thanks to The Forest &#8211; first class all the way! And to Colleen Marinello, Sissy Felice, John Ryba and all our volunteers &#8211; including alumni, Christine O&#8217;Brien, who is faithful to join us every year.
